Some parents are keen to know the sex of their baby before the birth. Although the fetal genital organs may be visualised as early as 12-13 weeks the accuracy at such early stages remains low. A more accurate indication of the fetal gender can be usually be obtained from 16-18 weeks onwards. Although at later stages a Fetal sexing or gender scan can be very accurate parents should remember the accuracy is not 100%.
